Want to get paid to learn media?
Media Earn & Learn is a summer program for inner city youth, a unique opportunity for students to start on an exciting journey of learning media while earning valuable skills and experiences. Through the course of 8 weeks students chose a program and learned skills from industry professionals that will help them be more confident when navigating media.
Why do you need it?:
1. Fun Learning Experience: Our program is designed to make learning media skills enjoyable and engaging, fostering creativity and enthusiasm among students.
2. Paid Learning: We believe in the value of education, so we pay students to participate, making it a win-win situation for both learning and earning.
What You'll Learn: We have 3 programs you can learn during the summer
Recording Academy
The basics of writing scripts or lyrics, developing a creative concept, and planning a production. They will also gain experience in recording audio and, potentially, video, as well as editing and mixing their projects.
DJ Academy
How to use DJ equipment and software to create music mixes. They will explore the fundamentals of beat matching, song selection, and creating smooth transitions between tracks.
Podcast Academy
How to plan and produce a podcast episode, including selecting a topic, scripting, recording, and editing audio. They'll also explore techniques for engaging storytelling and audience interaction

The program provides students with practical, hands-on experience in media production, allowing them to apply what they learn in real-world scenarios.
Experience:
Students get to use the skills they obtain in the program through our strategic partnerships with partners like The Urban League
Showcase:
Students will showcase their projects from the program to confidently showcase their skills and knowledge.
Industry Professionals:
Our experienced instructors are professionals in the industry with over 5 years of experience they will use it to guide our students.
Field Trips:
Excursion to Radio One Cincinnati, Rickey Smiley Morning Show, Cincinnati Black Music Walk Of Fame
