About Us

Empowering Media Excellence for Equity and Opportunity

What We Do

Ebony J Media  is a dedicated Vocational Learning Center specializing in short-term, intensive training for the media and creative industries. We provide hands-on, career-focused education that leads to Professional Certifications—not traditional degrees or diplomas. Our model is designed for rapid skills acquisition and immediate career entry. Please note: As a private trade school, we do not offer federal financial aid or FAFSA-eligible programs.

Our Mission

We aim to close the opportunity gap by equipping youth and community members with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in today’s media-driven world. We foster creativity, enhance media literacy, and instill a passion for impactful storytelling — empowering our clients to make a meaningful mark in their communities and careers.

The Problem We Solve

In today’s fast-paced digital landscape, low-income youth and under-resourced communities often lack access to the tools, mentorship, and exposure needed to succeed. We address this inequity by providing accessible, high-impact media education that builds confidence, career pathways, and community voice.

Aspiring Media

Professionals

We empower emerging creators, storytellers, and entrepreneurs — particularly youth and adults from low-income and historically marginalized backgrounds — to kickstart their media careers through hands-on, industry-specific training, mentorship, and confidence coaching.
Our goal is to make media education accessible, practical, and life-changing — transforming creativity into career pathways

Established Media Practitioners

We support working professionals and creatives who want to strengthen their skills, adapt to new technologies, and expand their reach in the ever-evolving media landscape.
Through workshops, coaching, and peer networking, we foster professional growth, innovation, and long-term sustainability — ensuring equity in career advancement opportunities.

Businesses & Corporations

We collaborate with companies, nonprofits, and schools to build stronger communication strategies, develop authentic media campaigns, and create inclusive storytelling that reflects diverse voices and experiences.

By partnering with us, organizations help close the digital divide, promote economic mobility, and amplify the voices of those too often left unheard

Our Impact

Every program we offer — from youth media training to professional development and business consulting — supports a larger vision:
Creating equitable access to media education, creative careers, and community visibility for all.

Here’s How It All Started

The founder of Ebony J, at small radio station on NKUs online campus back when social media wasn't too popular, and people used email or text messages to communicate with friends.

She saw how valuable it could be for marketing.

Seeing it as a potential opportunity! She started attracting more people to listen to her radio show. Her show surpassed 1,000 online listeners by 2012 and didn't have enough space

to host the crowd. Two years later, in 2014, she doubled it with over 2 500 followers on Facebook introducing new products: event promotion and social media marketing services!

As the number of clients increased, Ebony decided to publicize her business. With new opportunities coming up daily, she could see increased demand for digital advertising through sponsored posts on social media platforms like

Facebook or Twitter. Her background in marketing has given her the skills to help small business owners sell more through online channels.

As a leader, she dedicated her life to simplifying their tasks and achieving real

results so they can focus on what's important - running your company!
