Ebony J Media Hosts the Official Launch of My City Connected!

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, Ebony J Media Learning Center brought together 100 powerful women of color at its headquarters on Mentor Avenue in Cincinnati for a transformative networking and media experience.
The 100 Women of Color event was more than a gathering—it was a celebration of collaboration, empowerment, and innovation. Women from all backgrounds joined forces to share ideas, elevate their brands, and build lasting connections. From networking mixers to media production, this event was intentionally created to spotlight the brilliance and voices of Black and Brown women in business, media, and tech.
The highlight of the day was the Cincinnati launch of My City Connected, an innovative platform founded by Alasandro Birdine, a California native with over three decades of experience in media and advertising. With an impressive portfolio including work with Disney, DreamWorks, and multiple U.S. city governments, Birdine created My City Connected to spotlight Black-owned businesses, nonprofits, and community initiatives nationwide.
Mr. Birdine hired Ebony J Media to host, market, and promote the entire event as our own—and we delivered. From concept to execution, our team handled interviews, video coverage, graphic design, live media engagement, and event coordination.
Ebony J Media provided full media support: interviews, photography, videography, and live coverage—all powered by a team of talented women in media, including Michelle Boggan and Asia Foster of Another Media Fanatic.
Held at 1775 Mentor Ave., the event welcomed 100 women of color, from entrepreneurs to creatives. Guests enjoyed food and drinks from Cream & Sugar Coffeehouse, shared their brands, and joined the My City Connected platform. This event wasn't just about connection—it was about taking action.
